I was very disappointed to discover after upgrading to Visual Studio 2017 that css class intellisense was no longer working. I assumed it was a feature that might be available in another release and just dealt with it. After talking with a teammate who brought this up this shortcoming as well I decided to look at release notes and stackoverflow for any related information.
After about an hour of googling and experimenting, I happened upon a post describing the issue. So glad I found this obscure fix because it is something that I would have never tried. Apparently there is a conflict with css intellisense and SQL Server Database projects. The workaround is to unload the SQL project from your solution…

Would like to thank Nick for the solution: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37646896/visual-studio-2015-css-intellisense-broken
